What type of vessel are you?

The greatest vessel that God used is our Lord Jesus Christ that was poured out as a sacrifice for the sake of man salvation.  God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Throughout the whole of the scriptures, God has always used what the world has written off to show his powers.
Vessels come in different types, forms and makeup. The question we should ask ourselves is which category we belong. God has called people as vessels who worked well with HIM while others have disappointed and paid dearly for their works.

2Timothy 2:20

20In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and some for ignoble.

TYPES OF VESSELS
1.Gold (Able to persevere during tough times)
2.Silver
3.Wood (Not able to stand fire and quits easily)
4.Clay (Breaks at the least of falls)

Among the above named vessels, God’s interest is that we become vessel of gold for his use. God’s election of us, and His molding us into an honorable vessel, is based on the fact that God knew our free will decisions in advance, and based on His foreknowledge of our volition towards His Plan, He went forward and transformed us in a certain way. It is not ability that God is looking for, it’s availability!  It is positive choices toward His Will and His Word that God can then use.  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, an some to dishonor

A vessel is a hollow utensil for holding things. Vessels can be different shapes, each for a different purpose. A vessel of honour (Such as silver or gold) will be used for a much greater purpose than that of wood and earth (clay).

Symbolic Vessels:

1. Earthen Vessel (2 Corinthians 4:7)
2. Weaker Vessel - Wife (1 Peter 3:7)
3. Vessel of Honorr - the saved (2 Timothy 2:21; Romans 9:21-23)
4. Vessels of Dishonour - the lost (Romans 9:21-23)

God is not looking for perfect vessel but willing vessel. Your lifestyle is going to grow more and more into perfection. GOD USES ORDINARY PEOPLE.
